Applications and contraindications for hair transplantation

FUE hair transplant: How the procedure works
The essence of the method – the transfer of hair grafts (follicle + hair body complex) from donor areas to the alopecia area. On average, the procedure takes from 90 minutes to 4 hours (depending on the complexity of the case). Local anesthesia is used for anesthesia. After the transplantation is completed, the transfer area is isolated under a special dressing. For the first 7-10 days after the procedure there is scalp healing, which may be accompanied by itching and discomfort, but in general, these are the only consequences of the intervention that patients face.

There are 3 main options for performing a FUE transplant.
1) Classic FUE transplant
The most budget-friendly method.
The donor area is shaved to a hair length of 1 mm. Under the control of a binocular microscope, the doctor pierces the skin with a rounded scalpel and extracts the follicular blocks. The extracted grafts are washed in physiological solution and transferred to the transplantation area. On average, the doctor removes up to 3 grafts per puncture, which can increase the duration of the procedure.
2) Sapphire FUE transplantation
A more modern modification. The doctor extracts grafts using a V-shaped scalpel made of a special alloy. V-shaped blade more gently “opens ” follicle bed, less damaging the skin and blood vessels. As a result & ndash; recovery period is shortened, and the number of engrafted grafts increases. The method is also recommended for patients with thin skin, and therefore popular in the treatment of female pattern baldness.

The most advanced, effective and high-budget form of FUE hair transplant.
Multiple applicators with blades of different diameters are used for the transplant. Up to 10 hair grafts can be loaded into one applicator per puncture, greatly increasing the speed of the procedure.
