Stages of Surrogacy Program in Ukraine
The process can be briefly divided into the following main stages:
- Initial consultation with the program coordinator for the prospective parents;
- Medical examination of the couple;
- Preparation and approval of medical documentation;
- Signing contracts with the clinic, agency, and surrogate mother;
- Creation of embryos and their transfer into the surrogate mother's body;
- Confirmation of pregnancy and management under medical supervision;
- Delivery;
- Obtaining the child’s birth certificate;
- Obtaining documents for the child at the parent's country's embassy;
- Family return home.
The overall duration of the program is approximately 12 months from the initial consultation to the completion of the process.
